Visiting a locomotive depot in Volkovysk

In Volkovysk, Alexey Lyakhnovich reviewed the operations of Road Maintenance Department No. 52. The focus is on achieving social and economic indicators.

The Unified Information Day discussed "Trends and New Directions for Tourism Development in Belarus." As the Minister noted, tourism is considered a strategically important economic sector: the National Sustainable Development Strategy of the republic until 2040 envisages increasing the share of tourism in GDP to 5%.

The meeting with the team took the form of an open dialogue. The discussion focused on topics of concern to road workers, including plans to upgrade specialized equipment at road maintenance organizations, as well as the repair and reconstruction of roads in Grodno region.

Other issues discussed included the development prospects of regional airports – in particular, Brest and Grodno – and the expansion of the national air carrier’s scheduled and charter flights.
