Alexey Lyakhnovich met with the staff of Bus Depot No. 5 in Vileika and inspected the bridge construction

During his working visit, the head of the Ministry of Transport learned the production activities of the branch of OJSC “Minoblavtotrans”, including plans for updating the rolling stock.
Vileika Bus Depot No. 5 serves 33 city routes, 55 suburban routes, and 6 intercity routes. In 2025, it carried 2,562,000 passengers (108% of 2024 level), and freight turnover amounted to 15,103,000 tonne-kilometers (114%).
"Chernobyl: From Revival to Sustainable Development" was the topic of Alexey Lyakhnovich's meeting with the company's employees during the Single Information Day. The discussion focused on the restoration of Chernobyl-affected areas and the renovation of the road network.
According to the Minister, 74 km of roads were repaired in Bragin, Khoyniki, and Narovlya districts of Gomel region in 2025. At least 96 km of roads are planned for renovation this year.
◽️Other issues discussed included plans for the reconstruction of the R-28 Minsk-Molodechno-Naroch highway, as well as the principle for replacing minibuses with larger-capacity passenger transport on suburban and intercity routes.
