A laser warning system is operating in experimental mode on a section of the M1 "Brest - Minsk - Russian border" highway

A light warning system has been put into trial operation to improve road safety. This is a joint initiative of the Ministry of Transport and the State Traffic Inspectorate of Minsk Regional Executive Committee's Internal Affairs Directorate.
Red and green laser beams are projected along the road to improve driver concentration in poor visibility conditions and prevent drivers from falling asleep at the wheel.
The laser system was installed on a section of the road with a difficult traffic situation and is aimed at reducing accidents.
