"2026 has been declared the Year of Technology Improvement at Belarusian Railways. Its key goal will be the targeted implementation and scaling of advanced technological and organizational solutions aimed at improving the efficiency, safety, reliability, and competitiveness of business processes, developing digital services and professional staff competencies."

First Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Grigory Glazko noted that the course taken by Belarusian Railways towards qualitative transformation has shown certain results:
"In 2026, the development directions for Belarusian Railway were defined within the framework of the social and economic development program of Belarus for 2026–2030 and the 'Railway Transport' subprogram of the 'Transport of Belarus' State Program for 2026–2030. Maintaining operational and financial discipline will improve the economic impact of operations and develop new approaches to the development of freight and passenger transportation."
