Road, rail, river transport and highway construction enterprises contribute to ensuring the country's food security.
“Avtosila” and “Belmagistralavtotrans” transport companies annually transport grain from farms in Minsk region to grain processing plants. This year, “Belarusian River Shipping Company” and “Dneprobugvodput” are providing assistance to farmers with equipment and labor.
Road workers and special equipment from road organizations (autodors) are involved in the harvesting process – tractor drivers, machine operators and drivers, tractors, loaders and MAZ trucks.
Today, the following are working in the country’s fields: 13 employees and 7 units of equipment from RUE “Vitebskavtodor”, 12 employees and 4 units of equipment from RUE “Grodnoavtodor”, and 4 employees and 2 units of equipment from RUE “Minskavtodor-Center”.
Road workers perform another important task: ensuring the safe operation of roads during the harvest transportation period.
Belarusian Railway comprises five agricultural enterprises. The total harvested area is over 10,700 hectares (including 7,800 hectares of grain and legumes, 2,000 hectares of winter rapeseed, and 930 hectares of grain corn).
