The event was organized by RUE “Minskavtodor-Center”. Representatives from the industry agency, road infrastructure companies from across the country, and road design and research organizations including “Belgiprodor”, “BeldorNII”, “Beldorsvyaz”, and “Beldorcenter” participated.

During the two-day workshop, road company managers and specialists discussed topics such as improving the efficiency of technical supervision of public roads, modern diagnostic methods, prospects for implementing a quality control system, and increasing the durability of asphalt concrete pavements (based on global experience).

The plenary session was chaired by First Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Grigory Glazko.

As part of the practical part of the workshop, participants visited sections of highways in Minsk region, where they learned about completed and ongoing maintenance work, including preparations for the regional festival and fair “Dozhinki” in Zaslavl, and improvements to sections of R-80 Sloboda-Papernya and M-2 Minsk-National Airport highways. They also assessed the reconstruction work completed on sections of R-53 Sloboda-Novosady, M-14 Second Ring Road around Minsk, R-28 Minsk-Molodechno-Naroch, and M1/E30 Brest (Kozlovichi)-Minsk-Russian Border (Redki) highways.

The network maintained by RUE “Minskavtodor-Center” comprises 48.9% of all category I national roads in the country (887 km out of 1,814 km) and 49.7% of the total length of highways with high-speed limits (777 km out of 1,562 km). The company manages 3,439,526 km of national public roads, more than 226 km of which are paved with cement concrete.

Today, M-2 Minsk – Minsk National Airport highway is equipped with an automated control system that monitors weather conditions, road surface conditions, and traffic flow.

The workshop's business program concluded with a wreath-laying ceremony at a memorial to road veterans who made a significant contribution to the victory over the Nazi invaders and the post-war restoration of Belarus's road network.
