A significant amount of specialized equipment and human resources were deployed to clean up the aftermath of the severe weather on the country's roads and railways from July 9 to 11. In total, more than 40 road crews and over 100 railway workers were involved in the restoration work.
Some districts of Mogilev and Vitebsk regions suffered the most. As of July 10, more than 2,700 fallen trees were recorded along national and local roads, along with damage to 53 road signs, 110 meters of road network, eight road barriers, and one bus shelter.
Fallen trees on power lines disrupted power supply to railway infrastructure facilities totaling over 200 km.
Within the first 24 hours after the storm front passed, the clearing of transport arteries was completed. Windfall clearance is currently ongoing in the right-of-way areas along highways and railways.
