Mogilev welcomed passengers on the first flight, which departed Sheremetyevo Airport at 18:55. The flight was nearly 90% full. Flights on this route will operate twice a week.
The opening of a new air route is a significant event for Belarusian air carrier and a new chapter in the history of Mogilev Airport.
Vladimir Chereuhin, General Director of the National Airport, noted: "I am convinced that our successful cooperation with “Belavia” will have a positive impact not only on the operations of the regional airport, but also on the city and the region, and that residents of Mogilev and the surrounding region will appreciate the new opportunities."
The resumption of flights from regional capitals of Belarus began in 2023. By the end of 2024, 64,500 passengers had been transported from Gomel and Brest airports. Moscow is among the most popular destinations for “Belavia” passengers.
