A delegation from the Ministry of Transport took part in a memorial service in Khatyn

Today, a public flower-laying ceremony is taking place in Khatyn. Flowers are being laid at the Eternal Flame and the statue of the Unconquered Man by senior government officials, representatives of ministries and agencies, work teams, public organizations, and young people.

Representatives of the transport sector, led by First Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Grigory Glazko, laid wreaths and flowers at the Eternal Flame. They observed a moment of silence in memory of the innocent victims of the war.

In one line are the heads and directors of the agency's structural divisions, representatives of Belarusian Railways, road management organizations, Belavia Airlines, and cadets of the Aviation Academy.

Belarus pays tribute to the residents of Khatyn village, which was burned by the punitive forces 82 years ago, on March 22, 1943, along with 149 civilians. A memorial complex has been erected on this site – a symbol of the greatest national tragedy and eternal sorrow. It embodies the pain, suffering, and horror of all Belarusian villages razed to the ground during the Great Patriotic War.

During the Prosecutor General's Office's investigation into the criminal case of genocide against the Belarusian people, the list of Khatyn's sister villages has expanded to 288.
