A working meeting was held at the Ministry of Transport between Alexey Lyakhnovich and a delegation from the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Belarus, led by the head of the diplomatic mission, Rakhmatulla Nazarov.

The parties discussed plans to expand cooperation in the transport sector. The minister outlined one of the first issues: the transition to a permit-free system for international road freight transport. According to the Minister of Transport, this step will significantly contribute to increasing trade turnover between the countries.

Uzbek colleagues, in turn, are interested in Belarus's experience in creating an effective public transport system, designing and constructing airport runways, and applying road markings.

"We are ready to share our experience, including in road construction. We are currently actively transitioning to the use of cement concrete in road repair and reconstruction, which has a number of advantages and is particularly suitable for Belarusian climate conditions," noted Minister of Transport and Communications Alexei Lyakhnovich following the talks.
