Air transport is not only an indicator of the business activity of the state, but can also act as a catalyst to a certain extent, contributing to the implementation of entrepreneurial activity and business ties in almost all areas of the state’s activity.

The development of air transport as the most mobile component of the transport infrastructure of the modern state has exceptional importance.

The implementation of the Program activities 2016-2020 will strengthen the material and technical base of civil aviation. For the implementation of its measures in 2016–2020, 12,584.9 billion rubles were provided - 23.6 percent, or 2,974.7 billion rubles, are own funds of aviation organizations, 13.6 percent, or 1,716.1 billion rubles - funds of the republican budget, 5.4 percent, or 684.5 billion rubles, - funds of the state extra-budgetary fund of civil aviation, 54.1 percent, or 6809.6 billion rubles, - borrowed funds, 3.2 percent, or 400 billion rubles, - other sources (investor funds).

The Aviation Division of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Belarus with the rights of a legal entity (hereinafter referred to as the Division) is a structural unit of the central office of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Belarus (hereinafter referred to as the Ministry of Transport), which carries out special (executive, control, regulatory and other) functions in the field of civil aviation related to the competence of the Ministry of Transport.

The main tasks of the Division are:

  • meeting the needs of the economy and the population in the air transportation of passengers, baggage, cargo and mail;
  • pursuing economic and scientific-technical policy in the field of civil aviation;
  • implementation of state control over activities in the field of civil aviation in accordance with the law.
