Reconstruction of the bridge over the Mukhavets River in Kobrin is in its final stages

Thursday, 09 July 2026

Work on the infrastructure facility began in June 2025, and it is expected to be commissioned in November 2026.

"Currently, 90% of the total reinforced concrete work has been completed. The supports are fully installed, the superstructure is assembled, and the monolithic road slab and sidewalks have been concreted. The sidewalks are currently being waterproofed, and the stairway leading down to the embankment is being installed," reported Mostootryad No. 58, a branch of JSC “Mostostroy”.

Following the reconstruction, the bridge's operational characteristics will be significantly improved. The roadway will be 9 meters wide (previously 7 meters). A 1-meter-wide safety zone will be created on each side. The sidewalks have been widened to 3 meters (previously about 1 meter), of which 1.5 meters are designated for pedestrians and 1.5 meters for cyclists. A flight of stairs and an observation deck for pedestrians have been installed.

The reconstruction includes the installation of a wastewater treatment system. The facility is included in the State Investment Program. For more details, see BELTA`s report
