Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko congratulated his compatriots on Independence Day

Friday, 03 July 2026

Dear Belarusians!

I congratulate you on the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus – a holiday filled with sincere love for the Motherland, pride in its history and achievements.

The day of liberation of the Belarusian capital from the Nazi invaders - July 3, 1944 - became a symbol of courage, freedom and patriotism for our people.

Today, our sovereign country remembers with gratitude all those whose military and labor feats protected the right and opportunity of Belarusians to live and raise children on their native land and look confidently to the future.

Therefore, each of us feels a special sense of responsibility to the memory of our ancestors for the development and destiny of the Fatherland, which is embodied in concrete actions and accomplishments, and in the desire to make our common home comfortable and safe. These enduring values unite us, help us move forward together, and are the key to the country's success and prosperity.

I wish everyone good health, well-being and happiness under the peaceful skies of independent Belarus.

Happy Holiday! Happy Republic Day!

Alexander Lukashenko
