Brest Airport has opened a second passenger terminal after reconstruction

Thursday, 02 July 2026

The ceremony took place on the eve of Belarus's Independence Day. The modernization of the airport's terminal is a significant event for the region's residents.

The main objective was to create comfort for passengers, said Alexander Dokuchits, head of Brest branch of state enterprise “Belaeronavigatsia”:
"Our airport handles both domestic and international flights. Separating the flows was necessary for aviation security, border control, and customs purposes. Reconstruction began in 2025 and was completed efficiently and promptly. Two more projects are currently underway: reconstruction of the perimeter fence with the construction of a bypass road, and replacement of the approach system."

Brest International Airport terminal was built 40 years ago and is an integral part of the region's transport infrastructure. During the renovation, the building's historical features were preserved and complemented with modern solutions.
