Belarusian and Kaliningrad Railways discussed the development of freight and passenger transportation

Negotiations were held in Minsk between the head of Belarusian Railway, Valery Verenich, and the head of Kaliningrad Railway, Sergei Sapegin.

To increase cargo flow, Russian colleagues have proposed exploring the implementation of multimodal services and a project to transport food products in refrigerated containers by land.

The parties noted the steady growth of passenger traffic with Kaliningrad region. They noted that joint efforts to create the most comfortable conditions for travel between stations on the two railways will continue.

Another topic under discussion is the development of industrial cooperation between Belarusian Railway and Kaliningrad Railway, a branch of JSC “Russian Railways”.
