Safety, quality, integrity: how the Register of Passenger Transportation in Irregular Service has impacted the market

The registry created in Belarus almost two years ago has become an important tool for creating a transparent business environment. Statistics confirm that violations in the taxi and shuttle industries have decreased.
Dmitry Kulikovsky, Deputy Head of the Transport Ministry's Transport Infrastructure Department, spoke to BELTA about the current market situation:
"Decree No. 32 of January 25, 2024, has fully ensured the establishment of order in the passenger transportation industry. The registry's operation has contributed to increased transportation safety and created conditions for further improvements in the quality of services provided. Only vehicles and drivers that meet established legal requirements are permitted to operate."
The awareness of the inevitability of consequences—including suspension or removal of information from the registry, as well as the loss of the opportunity to receive orders from conscientious dispatchers—has become a more effective disciplinary factor than administrative fines, the Transport Inspectorate notes.
