The railways of Belarus and Kazakhstan have identified new areas of cooperation in the development of freight transportation

The meeting took place at Belarusian Railway headquarters. It was attended by the head of Belarusian Railway, Valery Verenich, and the Chairman of the Board of JSC NC Kazakstantemirzholy, Talgat Aldybergenova.
The roundtable brought together approximately 40 leading Belarusian enterprises: representatives of the forestry, woodworking, food industries, mechanical engineering, as well as Belarusian Association of International Freight Forwarders, and transport and logistics companies.
The head of Belarusian Railway, Valery Verenich, emphasized that the meeting opens up prospects for identifying growth opportunities and developing new routes, as well as for optimizing logistics and tariff conditions for railway transport.
During the meeting, the logistics and transport potential of Kazakhstan Railways for organizing freight transportation between Belarus and Kazakhstan, as well as transit through the two countries, was presented. The parties discussed the prospects for developing existing projects and current transport and logistics solutions, and exchanged opinions and proposals for the further development of freight transportation between Belarus and Kazakhstan.
Considerable attention was paid to the issues of unimpeded movement of goods from Belarus to Kazakhstan, to China and Central Asia in transit through Kazakhstan, including as part of container trains.
