A delegation from Belarusian Ministry of Transport, chaired by First Deputy Minister Grigory Glazko, took part in the events of the 5th Eurasian Economic Forum in Astana

During the thematic session “Digital Solutions in Transport and Logistics,” the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission, Arzybek Kozhoshev, noted:
"The EAEU transport industry is developing in an era of rapid global economic transformation. Today, we are moving from theory to the practical implementation of digital solutions, from pilot projects to the full-scale implementation of paperless technologies, and from individual smart solutions to the creation of digital ecosystems."

On the sidelines of the forum, the Belarusian delegation presented the digital transformation of Belarus's transport sector and discussed its prospects. During his presentation, Grigory Glazko highlighted the challenging issue of monitoring drivers' work and rest schedules.

Heads of transport agencies from EAEU member states exchanged views on current cases of digitalization and artificial intelligence applications, prospects for the development of intelligent transport systems and driverless vehicles, technological challenges in implementing AI in transport, and its legal regulation.

On the sidelines of the forum, the Belarusian delegation held bilateral meetings with the heads of transport agencies of Russia and Kazakhstan. They also exchanged views on the inland transport development agenda with Dmitry Maryasin, Deputy Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe.
