A major meeting on logistics with forwarders and exporters was held under the charge of Minister of Transport and Communications Alexey Lyakhnovich

Tuesday, 12 May 2026

Traditional meetings between national government bodies and businesses—cargo owners and logistics companies—are held under the auspices of the Ministry of Transport with the participation of Belarusian Railways.

In a discussion format, meeting participants discuss problematic issues related to the delivery of Belarusian products to foreign markets and develop joint solutions.

The main topics of the meeting were:

  • Transporting Belarusian exports through Bronka port infrastructure (Russia) and expanding opportunities for access to Asian markets.
  • The creation of a unified register of freight forwarders in Belarus (in accordance with the draft Presidential Decree “On improving transport and forwarding activities” prepared by the Ministry of Transport).

Priority issues include the implementation of a flexible tariff policy by Belarusian Railways, the transition to electronic document management for container trains to China, and the work of Belarusian transport companies in Russian ports.

"Only through joint efforts can we successfully transport Belarusian exports. It's important to respond coherently, quickly, and clearly to any changes on the external frontier," Alexey Lyakhnovich told the meeting participants.

The event was attended by over 50 representatives from ministries, corporations, regional executive committees, exporting companies, road carriers, freight forwarding companies, and Belarusian Association of International Road Carriers and Belarusian Association of International Forwarders. Following the meeting, the Minister issued relevant instructions.
