Tuesday, 12 May 2026

About roads:

"Belarus has one of the most developed road networks in the CIS. The emphasis is on preserving the existing network. Reconstruction is being carried out on the busiest road sections, which carry over 10,000 vehicles per day."

"Road funding increases annually. This has a tangible impact. As a result, we return to road surface repairs every 10 years."

"We're paying special attention to preparing roads for the summer season, including applying road markings. Starting this year, we've increased our contractor paint quality requirements: it must withstand the entire season. Furthermore, this year, for the first time, we'll be applying paint twice a year to maintain the road markings throughout the winter."

▫️ About cargo transportation:

"The volume of Belarusian exports to third countries is growing year to year. Currently, nine Russian ports are in use, primarily the infrastructure of the ports of St. Petersburg. In the first quarter, cargo traffic increased by 11%."

"New services are being created, such as Kolosok for direct cargo delivery to China. We've already launched several trains. We'd love to see these trains become part of a regular schedule. After China, we'll be testing this service in other countries."
