Dear colleagues, dear veterans!
On behalf of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Belarus and on my own behalf, I sincerely congratulate you on Victory Day!
Years go by. More and more time separates us from May 1945, but the sacred memory of every Belarusian about the events of the bloodiest war of the twentieth century is alive. And will live in our hearts forever.
Peace was won at the cost of incredible courage, enormous losses, and the most difficult trials. The Belarusian people persevered in the name of goodness and justice. Thousands of obelisks and graves across the country stand as a tribute to the soldiers who fell in fierce battles and the civilians exterminated by the Nazi occupiers. Every inch of Belarusian land is soaked in blood. This is our shared memory and shared pain.
The Great Victory was forged by the unity of the front and the base. The heroism and selfless labor of Belarusian transport workers deserves the deepest respect. Under the harshest conditions, railway and road workers quickly solved the complex challenges of transporting people, equipment, and food, which determined the outcome of many battles during the Great Patriotic War. The contribution of road workers to the restoration of the country's automobile infrastructure in the post-war period is invaluable.
We are eternally indebted to the generation of victors. We must sacredly honor the memory of their immortal heroism and, through our daily work, build a happy future in our common home—our native Belarus.
May this bright holiday fill us with joy, pride for our country and our people, give us strength, and inspire us to achieve great things. I sincerely wish you, your family, and loved ones good health, family well-being, and clear and peaceful skies above!
Happy holiday! Happy Victory Day!
