Taxi drivers are now required to inform passengers of the estimated fare! New rules for passenger transportation by road were discussed at a press conference in Minsk

Andrey Gladkiy, Head of the Department of Automobile and Urban Passenger Transport of the Ministry of Transport, reported:
▪️ the driver is obliged to inform the passenger of the estimated cost of the trip when the transportation is carried out "from the side", for example, when the car is parked
▫️there have been many cases where a passenger would get into a taxi, and the driver would say that they were driving by the taximeter, and driving by the meter would result in quite large sums of money, which would subsequently become the subject of conflict situations and legal proceedings.
▪️ the passenger has the right to change the payment method when traveling by taxi
▫️ previously, this option was available to taxi dispatchers and car carriers. Now, this right belongs exclusively to the customer, namely the passenger.
▪️ such a subject of legal relations as the owner of the electronic information system (it is used in taxi transportation) is excluded
▫️ the parties to the legal relationship are the taxi dispatcher, the car carrier and the passenger
