The Minister also visited Kalinkovichi, where he heard a report from the General Director of “Gomelobldorstroi” on the city's upcoming plans for repairs to the transit section of the R-131 highway on Sovetskaya Street.
The first stage of the M-10 reconstruction—approximately 17 kilometers from Rechitsa to Korovatichi—is scheduled for completion by September 2026.
Alexey Lyakhnovich and Ivan Krupko discussed safety issues for drivers and pedestrians and instructed construction workers to prioritize creating a barrier-free environment.
Repairs to the bridge on the right bank of the Dnieper are a key part of the M-10 reconstruction project. Currently, five reinforced concrete spans have been dismantled, work is underway to construct the platform and foundation, piles are being driven, and new supports are being built.
The new bridge was originally scheduled to open in 2029. However, bridge builders have assured that they will be able to complete the work and open this important regional transport artery to traffic significantly earlier—by the end of 2027.
