Belarusian Railways is a large-scale project with numerous infrastructure facilities. Implementation of the action plan will improve the quality of services provided.
The first deputy head of the Belarusian Railway's track management service, Sergei Korik, explained what the association's employees were focused on:
"First and foremost, 61 stopping points and 35 passenger platforms were upgraded. Work was also completed to remove dead wood, hazardous trees, and shrubs from the railway right-of-way (2,358 km—equivalent to approximately 5,000 hectares). In addition, outdoor lighting was installed or repaired at 18 sites. Regarding major projects, by the end of the year, repairs were completed on 133 km of track on the main arteries: Orsha-Vitebsk, Orsha-Minsk, Minsk-Baranovichi sections, and the section from Zhlobin to Mogilev."
