Snowfall in Belarus: Red alert issued, road safety measures underway

Due to heavy snowfall from Cyclone “Ulli”, a "Weather" plan has been issued in Mogilev, Gomel, Brest, and Minsk regions, as well as in the capital.
As of 7:00 PM, 1,885 units of specialized machines are in operation to ensure the safety and capacity of national and local roads.
Road crews are working in an enhanced mode: snow removal is ongoing around the clock, and roadways are being de-iced.
Priority attention is given to public transportation routes, access roads to healthcare and educational institutions, and socially significant facilities.
Due to challenging weather conditions, the State Traffic Inspectorate strongly recommends (https://t.me/pressmvd/20598) avoiding personal transportation, especially long-distance travel, if possible.
