"The first flights are extremely busy." “Belavia” launches flights to Thailand

Monday, 08 December 2025

In January, the national air carrier will begin operating charter flights from Minsk to two resorts in Thailand.

The airline's CEO, Igor Cherginets:

"We're starting flights to a new country, our 17th. Thailand is a highly anticipated destination."

According to him, the initial flights are heavily loaded. While charters are the focus for now, the transition to scheduled flights is under discussion. This requires the swift conclusion of an intergovernmental agreement on air traffic. The Ministry of Transport's Department of Aviation is working on this.

The geography of flights will continue to expand. Flights to Almaty will resume on December 18 after a four-year brake, to Tel Aviv on January 8, and to Jordan and Tunisia in spring.

"Enormous efforts were expended in previous years, long-haul aircraft were acquired, which made it possible to open new routes," said the head of “Belavia”.
