“Belavia” CEO Igor Cherginets explained which destinations “Belavia” plans to open in 2026.
In 2025, “Belavia” launched flights to Hainan Island (China), Phu Quoc Island (Vietnam), and Sri Lanka. It will resume flights to Almaty (December) and launch flights to Thailand (January).
Plans for 2026 include the launch of direct flights to Jordan (March) and Tunisia (May). The route network to Russian cities will continue to expand.
Today, the carrier operates scheduled flights to 22 airports. Charter flights to resorts from Minsk and regional airports are also being developed.
In 2024, “Belavia” operated 14,419 flights, carrying 1,477,000 passengers. Forecast for 2025: scheduled flights are expected to increase by 4.2%, and passengers carried by 5.9%.
By the end of 2025, it is planned that approximately 1,400 scheduled flights will operate from regional airports (47% more than last year). Approximately 100,000 passengers will use the airline's services (a 50% increase).
This year, the airline's fleet was expanded with three new Airbus A330-200 aircraft. Two of these are used on long-haul flights, and the third is scheduled to enter service by February 2026.
For further fleet renewal, both Western- and Russian-made aircraft are being considered, said Igor Cherginets: "A preliminary memorandum of cooperation has been signed with PJSC “United Aircraft Corporation” for the MS-21 and Superjet aircraft. The aircraft are currently undergoing certification and testing. The process is expected to be completed in 2026-2027. We will then begin a more detailed study of the issue: price, destinations, and specifications. A decision will be made after the airliners enter commercial service."
