Belarusian Railways took part in a meeting of the CIS Council for Railway Transport

The 82nd meeting of the Council was held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, and chaired by Oleg Belozerov, CEO and Chairman of the Management Board of Russian Railways. Participants included heads of railways from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Iran, Latvia, and Estonia, as well as representatives of the CIS Executive Committee and the International Confederation of Railway Trade Unions.

Belarusian delegation was led by First Deputy Head of Belarusian Railways Alexander Khoroshevich. The agenda included issues determining the coordination of international passenger and freight transportation, the joint use of freight cars and containers, mutual settlements for transportation, and many others.

The results of the railway network's operation for the previous year and the first quarter of 2025 were also summarized, the Codes of Passenger Trains, Border Commuter Trains, Trailer and Direct Carriages for 2025/2026 were approved, measures to improve the organization of the transportation process and the efficient use of rolling stock were identified, and the results of the implementation of the objectives of the Express International system for the integration of international passenger transportation were reviewed.
