The development of logistics with Pakistan was discussed today in Minsk. The negotiations were attended by the Minister of Transport and Communications Alexey Lyakhnovich, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Belarus Mohammed Aejaz, and the heads of the largest logistics companies in Belarus, Pakistan and Russia.
Following the meeting, a trilateral Memorandum of Understanding was signed: on the Belarusian side – by the national logistics operator “Beltamozhservice”, on the Pakistani side – by the logistics corporation “Pak Shaheen”, and on the Russian side – by the container transportation operator “Neko Line Asia”.
“New transport routes and a balanced volume of goods supplies between Belarus and Pakistan will enable us to achieve optimal logistics costs and increase trade turnover between the countries,” said the head of Belarusian transport institution Aleksei Lyakhnovich at the end of the event.
“The signing of the memorandum is the basis for creating optimal logistics solutions not only in the delivery of goods between Belarus, Russia and Pakistan, but also in the direction of a wide range of countries of the ‘far arc’,” emphasized the General Director of RUE “Beltamozhservice” Dmitry Kovalenok.
