Every year the importance of international transport corridors for the development of trade and economic cooperation between countries increases.
Against the backdrop of increasing volumes of transportation between Asia and the EAEU, the task of increasing the capacity of international transport corridors is becoming increasingly urgent.
Together with Russian partners, Belarus is implementing projects to develop the port infrastructure of the Russian Federation, as well as sections of the railway infrastructure in the direction of ports.
Belarus is developing multimodal cargo transportation, including within the framework of the ITC “North-South”.
In 2024, our country joined the international initiative to form the ITC “Belarus – Russia – Kazakhstan – Uzbekistan – Afghanistan – Pakistan” and plans to sign an agreement with Pakistan on road freight transport.
Belarus's accession to the SCO expands the prospects for economic cooperation with countries of the world community.
