Belarusian Railways congratulated the 200,000th passenger of the branded train No. 2/1 Minsk – Moscow “Belarus”

In 2024, train “Belarus” transported more than 200 thousand people in international traffic, which is 30% higher than last year.

The jubilee passenger was met at Minsk-Passazhirsky railroad station. He was a citizen of the Russian Federation. It is symbolic that the event took place on the eve of the 25th anniversary of the Union State.

Head of the passenger service of Belarusian Railways Alexander Zakharevich: "The popularity of passenger transportation in communication with Russia is growing every year. Over 3 million people were transported in 11 months of this year - plus 23% compared to the same period in 2023."

22 pairs of regular trains in the Russian Federation run on the main routes: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Adler, Anapa, Samara, Arkhangelsk and Murmansk.

Moscow and St. Petersburg are the most popular destinations. They account for more than 86% of the volume of direct traffic (over 2 million passengers were transported in January-November, or 18.9% more than in the same period last year).
