The 4.3 km long section includes an overpass, two railway lines and two roundabouts. It is equipped with bicycle and pedestrian connections and street lighting. The modern highway will relieve traffic congestion in the district center, increase the capacity and speed of transit flows.
Reconstruction of the section "Access to Lida" from the M-11 highway started at the end of 2022 and was carried out as part of the implementation of the state program "Roads of Belarus" for 2021-2025.
During construction, more than 670 thousand cubic meters of earthworks were completed, and approximately 50 thousand tons of asphalt concrete were laid.
The customer of the project is RUE “Grodnoavtodor”, the general contractor is OJSC “DST No. 6”, the designer is SE “Belgiprodor”.
"The most difficult stages of construction were the transfer of numerous communication networks and the construction of an overpass over the railway more than 150 m long. To improve traffic safety, two new roundabouts were built. It should be noted that all metal elements of the equipment were galvanized at the local enterprise "Konus", which enables to significantly extend their service life”, RUE "Grodnoavtodor" said.
