The solemn ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko and Minister of Transport and Communications Alexey Lyakhnovich.
As Roman Golovchenko noted, this direction is one of the most popular: "Smolevichi is developing, the population of Zhodino and Borisov is growing. The road has become four-lane, modern and make it possible to get to work from Smolevichi to Minsk in the shortest possible time. Cement concrete pavement is used here, it is durable and reliable."
According to the head of government, a decision has been made to continue the reconstruction of this road from Zhodino to Borisov, so that by 2026 the entire Minsk-Borisov line will be comfortable for traffic.
"In Belarus, much attention is paid to the development of the road network. Financing for road construction is increasing. In 2023, 1.5 times more roads of national and local importance were repaired than in 2022 - more than 3 thousand km. And in 2024, it is planned to repair more than 5 thousand km of roads," the Prime Minister said.
This year, it is planned to complete the reconstruction of the M3 section from Logoisk to Pleshchenitsy, Lida bypass section, half of the P46 section from Lepel to Polotsk from Polotsk side, as well as major repairs to the P46 from Polotsk to the Russian border.
Particular attention is paid to bridge structures. More than 100 bridges and overpasses are planned to be repaired on the national and local road network in 2024.
