An agreement on painting the aircraft at the production facilities in Minsk was reached during a recent visit by Vladimir Pekarsky, General Director of OJSC Minsk Civil Aviation Plant No. 407, to Kazan Aviation Plant named after S.Gorbunov, a branch of JSC “Tupolev” (part of PJSC “UAC” of the Rostec State Corporation).
The aircraft will be painted in a livery in accordance with the corporate style of the United Aircraft Corporation at a modern high-tech painting complex. Russian-made enamels will be used in the painting work.
The new painting complex was put into operation at Plant No. 407 in April 2024. This year, the enterprise received a certificate from the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia), allowing it to carry out maintenance of Tu-214-types aircraft.
One of the features of the complex is that in addition to the work of removing old paint and varnish coatings and painting the outer surface of aircraft, it also provides the ability to carry out maintenance and repair of aircraft.
Managing Director of JSC “Tupolev” Konstantin Timofeev arrived in Minsk as part of the Tu-214 flight crew. He noted:
"Minsk Civil Aviation Plant No. 407 is our long-standing reliable partner. For many years, we have closely cooperated in repair and modernization of Tu-134 aircraft. Now we are entering a new stage of our relationship - cooperation on Tu-214 aircraft."
